F*CK Fashion is a minimalistic, sustainable, and socially conscious brand that aims to produce sustainable long-lasting items of clothing. The pre-tense of our disruptive brand name speaks to our philosophy redefine what fashion means.
F*CK FASHION is a proudly South African brand run by a team of young entrepreneurs with a shared vision to disrupt and create change in the clothing industry.

AT F*CK fashion we believe that fashion should be redefined. Our philosophy is to quite literally F*CK FASHION. The fashion industry has changed considerably in recent years, Fast fashion has taken over the industry to the point where fashion - is fast fashion.
What is fast fashion and why is it a problem?
Fast Fashion is the term used by international fashion retailer conglomerates for designs that flow from the catwalk quickly to capture current fashion trends. Fast fashion makes high-end fashion trends readily available to everyday consumers for a fraction of the costs. Unlike seasonal fashion, which rotates styles four times a year fast fashion trends can come and go weekly. New technology allows items of clothing to be made faster, on a larger scale at a lower cost, and more readily than ever before. This has allowed fast fashion to completely take over the fashion industry.
Why is this a problem?
The manufacturing and life cycle of clothing produced in fast fashion has had a terrible effect on the environment. Compared to 20 years ago the average person buys 68 new pieces of clothing a year and keeps this item for half the time. This may not sound that bad, here are hard facts about the fast fashion industry and the environment:
“Clothing production is the third biggest manufacturing industry after the automotive and technology industries. Textile production contributes more to climate change than international aviation and shipping combined” (House of Common Environmental Audit Committee, 2019)
“The fashion industry is responsible for 8% of carbon emissions” (UN Environment, 2019)
“93% of brands surveyed by the Fashion Checker aren’t paying garment workers a living wage” (Fashion Checker, 2020)
“Volume-based business models simply cannot become sustainable” (Los Angeles Times, 2019)

In addition to this, the empowerment range will print the logo of the organization one the items of clothing while adhering to the minimalistic theme of our brand. Our first partnership is with the Jenna Lowe trust an organization that aims to create awareness and raise funds for the organ donation crisis in South Africa
